Hi guys. While I always appreciate submissions, I’ve had a couple (that I’m sure were well-intentioned) that have been commentary on the Steubenville rape case and I feel I need to make a post about those sorts of submissions. I think that my accepting a post that takes some of the detestable victim-shaming nonsense spewed forth by people in the media and attributes it to Sylvia Plath wouldn’t subvert or satirise those comments but instead turn it into a joke that would play at the expense of a proper dialogue condemning them and the wider culture that attacks the credibility of the victim’s testimony. For that reason, I won’t ever accept a submission or make a post that I feel could shift the focus in this way. I hope that’s cool with all of you, because, if not, fuck you, apologist scum.
lets-hate-people-together asked: do you have a 'best of' page, and if not would you ever consider compiling one?
This is a really good idea, so now there is one, and it can be found here. At the moment I’ve just tagged everything with over 1000 notes, but I might whittle it down a bit further in future. Thanks for the suggestion!
